I remember my (extremely gullible) dad had bought into the whole Iraqi Dinar scam, a few years ago (Big time, 1500 Us dollars worth)
he bought Gold coins off the television this time because they promised that the value of the coins were going to rise greatly
OF course even if the price of gold went up, where the hell would he sell it, And OF COURSE theres no way to verify whether the tv scamsters set a fair price (of course not, or they wouldnt make money!)
so did my dad get 100% scammed again?
he thinks he is so smart haha, cant talk him out of anything
and btw, gold coin dealers only pay like 80 or 90% of the actual coin value from what i read now.

I bought a million dinar almost two years ago for almost a grand and now I’m wondering if it was a good investment. I’ve been researching into it a bit and a lot of people say that it’s not a good idea to buy from sites because they aren’t legit. BUT, I bought my dinar from a major Chase bank in downtown Dallas.
Now, I’ve lately decided that I want to get my money back so I went to Wachovia to trade it back in and they would not take it.
So, is it gonna really revalue or did I ***** up?

I know most people who want to get foregin currency for a trip or for an investment need to go to a currency exchanger and pay markups and service fees.
If I’m able to purchase currencies at the market rate with no markups of service fees could I make money re-selling that money? If so who would I sell it to and how would I go about this? I see some people do it with iraqi dinars on ebay but would like to do it with pounds or euros or a currency that is in more demand.

I created an account about a week ago to sell one item(Iraqi Dinar 500k..it’s real I got it in Iraq and I’ve had it certified). I created my auction and set everything up and waited. About a day into it I noticed another guy selling 1,000,000 dinar for 15,000 USD….it’s literally not worth over 1,000 but people sell it on the hope that their economy booms and the currency becomes exponentially more valuable. Well, I know that’s a long shot so I just wanted to get rid of it(500k) for 400 USD. I messaged the guy and asked him if he was for real, he said yes he has to pay his bills….that was it…no other communication and I didn’t tell anyone that it was ludicrous because I HAD read the user agreement and that would have violated policy.
I logged on 4 days later and my account was suspended and my listing was cancelled. They said they locked it down for my protection because someone sent me a phishing message….but noone did. Then I asked when they would unsuspend it and I got another email saying that I violated the Abusing eBay section of the User Agreement. Not only did I not violate that article, I didn’t violate ANY OF THEM. I have sent multiple emails and tried to find out WHY I was suspended and the only reply I’ve gotten is ‘I can’t tell you the the reasons we suspended your account for security purposes.’….then they go on to say that if I just send in a form with proof of identity they’ll let me back on….without ever saying what I did wrong….weird….thoughts?
It’s not illegal to sell Iraqi Dinar on ebay…go check it out there are a bunch up for sale right now. I tried live chat and they kept telling me they can’t help me and to email trust and safety….those are the ones who gave the last most vague answer
@smelly demoscat: You might wanna go to the ebay website and check it out….there is a category just for CURRENCY
I am trying to take it to ebay but they are as elusive as a frickin tazmanian tiger. Anyone else get the runaround like this?
