) Treasures under Euphrate:
Narrated Ubayy ibn Ka’b: I heard Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Euphrates would soon uncover a mountain of gold and when the people would hear of it they would flock towards it but the people who would possess that (treasure) (would say): If we allow these persons to take out of it they would take away the whole of it. So they would fight and ninety-nine out of one hundred would be killed. AbuKamil in his narration said: I and AbuKa’b stood under the shade of the battlement of Hassan. Sahih Muslim Hadith 2895-1346)
The exploration of oil in under the level of water and nations are competing.
Narrated AbuHurayrah: Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said: Iraq would withhold its dirhams and qafiz; Syria would withhold its mudd and dinar and Egypt would withhold its irdab and dinar and you would recoil to that position from where you started ….. (Sahih Muslim Hadith 2896-1347)

ME asked:

I recently purchased an “authentic” uncirculated 10K Iraq dinar off ebay. When it arrived, the holographic strip along the side was about halfway peeled off. And when I touched it, it just crumbled away completely. This seems odd, because if it peeled off so easily, how would it be expected to last if the bill were ever circulated?

Also, it appears to be a poor print job because the graphics are not lined up correctly with the paper’s edge. For instance, on one side, I can see the edge of the next bill which was printed on the same paper, like it was cut at a slight angle. The whole thing is sort of cock-eyed, actually. It just doesn’t look right to me.

Are these particular bills known for their cheap production? Or could this be a counterfeit bill that I have here? Thanks for any info you might have.
The word that was filtered was supposed to be C0CK-EYED. I guess Yahoo thought I meant something else.
It was printed under Saddam’s regime and is therefore no longer printed or able to be spent. Therefore it cannot simply be exchanged like you would with any other form of currency.

I purchased it from ebay (from what I thought was a reputable collector). He had great feedback.
