U.S. Dollar to Iraqi Dinar Exchange Rate

captaino (below) You left out one minor detail.
### The US dollar trends the same against almost ALL currencies. ###
Thus that load of yours, which is utter nonsense, would have to be true for every nation who’s currency is soaring compared to the USD.
Don’t let facts get in the way of your Fox News group-think.
captaino (below) Any unbiased scientist that sees the same result happening to ALL of the control subjects would NOT grab one of the 300 and claim the reasons they have the same results as everyone else is due to something different.
My apologies for the use of logic vs BS.
We have $600 (American) dollars worth of Iraqi Dinars (the new Iraqi currency) that was bought for us as an investment/gift.
I’m thinking that we might as well get rid of it now, because things are so uncertain in Iraq. At least we’ll get back the $600 that were spent to buy the Iraqi money.
My thinking is that, even if things improve in Iraq, and it becomes a stable country with a stable economy, the value of the money will not improve significantly.
But if we hold onto it, and things do not improve, or if the Democrats get into power and bring the troops back, then I can see the money completely losing its value, and the entire $600 investment will be lost.
Therefore, my thinking is to get rid of the money now, while we still can, because the likelihood of it increasing greatly in value is small, and the possibility of it losing its value entirely is substantial.
What do you think? Should I hold onto it, or get rid of it now?
What method would they use to judge the economy of a third world country that has been completely taken apart and is being reassembled, still under construction, and on the verge of a civil war? Is there really anything to compare it to? And, what determines the exchange rate for their money? Is 25 Iraqi Dinar really worth less than a cent? Who decides who’s money is worth what?
