to the positive, since with what’s been going on globally? For instance, it was around 1480 Dinar to the Dollar in mid-October, and now it is 1323? What is your opinion of this, if you are savvy to finance and monetary circumstance?
Which currency is used in the relation of other currencies being traded off of each other, and why? Thanks?

*Proud Army Wife* asked:
My husband just got home from his second tour in Iraq. Well, while he was there EVERYONE was buying the new Iraqi Dinar. Of course, we jumped on the bandwagon just in case the was a true get-rich-quick scheme. We bought $500 worth….equaling about $400,000 Dinar. Now the thoughts of this are, if the Dinar ever equals out to the US dollar then we will have turned $500 into $400,000. Is this possible?? Could this actually be a smart investment?? Did people do this after WWII with German money???

If the Iraqi dinar increases in value as a result of a revalue and reprint, what happens to money that people cannot convert within a few weeks or months of this change?

“A statement by B.J. AL Zubaidi, the Minister of Finance, in which he said that he had suggested to the Chairman of the Central Bank, Dr. Sinan AL Shibibi, that three zeros be taken from the Iraqi Dinar in order to raise its value so that one Dinar be equal to a Dollar” http://www.iraqdirectory.com/DisplayNews.aspx?id=1593
